For nearly fourteen years Gladstone was the North American publisher of quality Disney comic books and comic albums featuring Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Uncle Scrooge, and other Disney favorites, by some of the best storytellers of the past and present. Gladstone completed the run of its third Disney license in December, 1998. Gemstone Publishing was granted the most recent license to publish the Disney comics for North America.
